One Hundred Postage Stamp Block Quilt

$0.00
sold

Sixteen large blocks like checkerboards, each with one hundred postage stamp pieces 1 1/2” wide, are set inside a beautiful red grid with nine-patch blocks at each intersection. Though structured and square in motif, the warmth of the colors and their beautiful placement throughout adds softness and incredible elegance to this quilt. Look at the close-ups to see the special fabric that is used in the background, which from a distance reads as a cream. The red fabric is vibrant with an intricate design of pink flowers and a fine black and white design. And don’t miss the back of this quilt — made of the sweetest fabric with tiny little birds-at-a-distance shapes! This quilt comes from the Collection of Irving and Ellie Williams of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Ellie Williams devoted many hours to the Packwood House Museum in Lewisburg and created exhibits on Pennsylvania quilts and coverlets.

This quilt has been washed by hand and is in excellent condition with only a couple negligible tiny marks (see last photo). Soft and cozy and festive in color, she is a perfect piece to bring home as we enter this colder season.

Measurements: 81” x 81”

$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount. Price for smaller items have been adjusted (lowered) to account for the lower shipping cost.
