Broken Dishes Crib Quilt with Ice Cream Cone Border

$0.00
sold

A truly stunning crib quilt that deserves to be displayed! Drape her over the back of a chair or hang her on a wall. This would also be a great piece to consider framing. The center of the quilt has a wonderful variety of fabrics, mostly in brown and white fabric families, punctuated by the occasional red or pink triangle. The scalloped ice cream cone border makes this piece a showstopper. The turkey red cones are just perfectly faded yet still vibrant. Another detail to love about this quilt is that the border is quilted while the center is hand-tied. The little white ties add a lovely textural accent. She is backed with the sweetest floral fabric with a very intricate print — take a look at the close-up! In good condition for her age, this quilt has been gently steam-cleaned to avoid any further damage especially to some of the fragile browns; five or six of them currently show wear. Some of the lighter fabrics have a touch of discoloration from age but overall she presents beautifully and would make a wonderful focal point in any home and collection.
