Scrappy Double Nine-Patch Quilt

$625.00
sold

With wonderful classic colors from the late 19th century, this scrappy Double Nine-Patch quilt is a cozy as can be. Offset against an overdyed green fabric, the blocks are filled with fun scrappy little Nine-Patch blocks alternating with butterscotch. Browns, indigos, and grays are punctuated by tiny red squares. The back is made of gorgeous strips of brown plaid fabric that may be homespun — such a wonderful fabric to snuggle under and perfectly usable on the reverse! This quilt has been washed by hand and is in overall excellent condition with just a few small blemishes on the butterscotch and green fabric as shown in the last photo, typical of authentic old 19th century fabrics in these colorways. What a beautiful quilt to bring home as we enter the fall and winter season.

Measurements: 71” x 86”

$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount.

15% of profits from this sale will go towards House of Ruth in Washington DC. Founded in 1976, House of Ruth empowers women, children and families to rebuild their lives and heal from trauma, abuse and homelessness. For more, see their website www.houseofruth.org

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness. We try our best to note any imperfections, but it’s possible we might miss one here and there. Well-crafted, handmade antique quilts in their original form are becoming scarcer, and we believe it's vital that we preserve them and continue to love them, imperfections and all.

Because these quilts are one-of-a-kind and we are a tiny enterprise, we do not accept returns; please review all photos and the description carefully and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing.
