Web of Diamonds Quilt

A gorgeous quilt made of a very special selection of 19th century fabrics and filled with a lovely layer of wool batting, this is a wonderful piece to welcome this cooler season. Note the background fabric dyed in an earthy tone with delicate vines of trumpet flowers. The quilter chose some beautiful light blues, pinks, and orange fabrics for the diamonds to contrast with the sandy background. Each diamond is anchored with four darker diamonds in a variety of browns, greens, and blacks. The back fabric is another beauty – a floral stripe in a rich chocolate brown. This quilt has been washed by hand and is in excellent condition with just a few little light spots of staining that blend very much into the background, and one small surface hole on the back through which you can see a peek of the wool batting. A lovely detai: the former owner pinned a couple small pieces of coordinating repair fabric to a corner of this quilt, perfect for mending the little hole if desired! A great piece to bring home this fall, this is a quilt that will add a touch of elegance to any room.

Measurements: 85” x 93”
