Fall Forest Postage Stamp Quilt
A perfect quilt for someone who loves 19th century brown fabrics, this is a quilt to study and enjoy. Every family of brown fabrics is represented in this quilt, from madder browns to cool browns, and everything in between. Little pops of contrasting colors stand out against the warm background and include Lancaster blues, double pinks, and white and yellow calicoes. All of this is framed in a soft peachy butterscotch and backed by light brown fabric with a gorgeous floral motif — a lovely contrast to the more graphic front. This quilt is in excellent condition for her age with just three or four brown squares that show wear and some very light residual discoloration on some of the white squares, hardly noticeable in the sea of color. She has been washed by hand and is crisp and clean, and is ready to bring the richness and warmth of the season into your home.
