An incredibly elegant yet playfully scrappy quilt, this century and a half old beauty is a stunner. Though technically done in a Four T pattern, the blocks read more organically because of the use of the fabrics which, from a distance, look quite uniform due to the fact that they are all within the same color family. But look closely and you’ll see an interesting variety of prints. The negative spaces are densely quilted with triple lines, all done by the meticulous hands of an expert quilter. Considering her crisp white background, she has survived beautifully over her many years. Just a few small stains, a couple small tears, and a worn edge that are a testament to her age (see photos). A wonderful addition to a collection of an antique fabric lover. She has been washed by hand and hung to dry and is ready for her new home.
