Pattern: Hexagon One-Patch
Date: c. 1898 (as noted on back of quilt)
Provenance/Notes:
A truly gorgeous assortment of period fabrics, punctuated with deep reds and blacks and trimmed in a lovely red fabric with black dots
On the back of the quilt is penned the name and address of maker (or possibly owner) and the date. It reads: “Made in 1898 / Linda Shaffel Barger / 98 Renner St Delaware Ohio”
Soft off-white muslin back, soft and cozy
In excellent condition with just a smidge of color transfer from a yellow hexagon and a few very light marks on back
Washed by hand
Measurements: 61” x 78”
$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount. Price for smaller items have been adjusted (lowered) to account for the lower shipping cost.
