Indigo and Chestnut Bar Quilt

$0.00
sold

A magnificent bar quilt made with two gorgeous fabrics, one in a deep indigo, with the slightest touch of green and a clover design, and the other, a fine flower print on a naturally dyed chestnut fabric. Beautifully quilted and pieced, this quilt is double-sided, and has a nice substantial feel to it. She has an aesthetic reminiscent of a lot of old French quilts, where the fabric and quilting are the focus. Her simplicity and colors make her a wonderful layering piece; layer her with another quilt or a blanket or coverlet. She’s also beautiful against a crisp white sheet. She has been thoroughly washed by hand and is in excellent condition structurally but does have a few residual stains that show a bit on her brown fabric, mostly on one side. Because of the color, they are not at all glaringly, but the price certainly takes this into account. An incredibly elegant quilt and a wonderful piece of history to take home.

Measurements: 78” x 86”

$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount. Price for smaller items have been adjusted (lowered) to account for the lower shipping cost.
