Indigo Odd Fellows Chain Quilt

$0.00
sold

A breathtaking quilt rendered in the Odd Fellows Chain pattern, this indigo and white quilt is the work of a master quilter. She made her way into this collection because of the wonderful variation in indigo fabrics that the quilter used to fill in all of the tiny pieces in the blocks. Some of the blocks are more uniform, and others completely scrappy. The quilting is extremely dense and the piecing tiny, which gives this quilt a wonderful texture. She has been washed by hand and is in excellent condition with just 12 of the over 1600 tiny indigo pieces showing some wear (see last photo). The slightest hint of a center fold line which is hard to capture in a photo. A wonderful heirloom place to bring home this summer!

Measurements: 76.5” x 81.5”

$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount.

International customers: If you enter a shipping address outside of the US, you will not be charged for shipping upon checkout. A separate invoice will be sent once shipping is calculated. All quilts come with a muslin tag noting any known history, and an archival Micron pen for you to add yours.

15% of profits from this sale will go towards Hilliard House in Richmond, VA — an organization local to Flying Geese that provides short-term emergency shelter for children and adults who are on their way to a permanent home. Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness. We try our best to note any imperfections, but it’s possible we might miss one here and there. Well-crafted, handmade antique quilts in their original form are becoming scarcer, and we believe it's vital that we preserve them and continue to love them, imperfections and all.

Because these quilts are one-of-a-kind and we are a tiny enterprise, we do not accept returns; please review all photos and the description carefully and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing.
