Indigo Stars on Calico Quilt with Hourglass Border
Thirty-six stars twinkle against a background pieced with exquisite white calico fabric from the turn of the century on this beautiful early 1900s quilt. The lovely hourglass border is poetic touch to the timelessness of the stars. This quilt has about everything you might look for in an antique quilt, from a classic year-round pattern to the softness and sturdiness of a quilt that has been used but very well cared for. She has been washed by hand and is in excellent condition with just a couple tiny marks on her edge. (Her trim appears to be newer than the rest of the quilt.) A beauty to cherish for years and years to come!
