Ocean Waves Quilt with Wreaths
A stunning and whimsical take on the Ocean Waves pattern, this quilter included a wreath-like motif in the center of this quilt, using greens and reds that pop against the sea of browns and neutral scrappy fabrics. Included throughout the cross-sections of the colorful blocks are little red and green pinwheels, which fade away organically towards the edges. The more neutral areas contain a wonderful assortment of scrappy fabrics as well; take a look at some of the close-ups! This quilt is a lovely size to have on hand as a throw or to hang on a wall, and her subtle festive theme makes her a fun piece for the holidays but also a great everyday piece. She has been washed by hand and is in very good condition for her age with about ten brown triangles that show some wear and a few light residual stains, but nothing dark that stands out (see last photo). A special piece to make yours!
