Peppermint Churn Dash Quilt
A wonderful example of the delightful (and unintended) effects of time and experimentation, this beautiful Churn Dash quilt likely began her life as a primarily green quilt with little red prints. But due to the green being a fugitive dye, her color loss has transformed her into the beautiful neutral quilt we see today. Look closely to see the lovely pinstripe fabric in the background and the claret trim faded to perfection. A soft and cozy quilt in very good condition with just a couple tiny marks, a bit of trim wear and a few small rust marks on the back — nothing that detracts from her beauty. (Note: The quilt has been washed but retains a lingering scent from likely a commercial detergent used in a previous wash.) A beautiful piece of history to live with and add to your collection!
