Pink and Cream Broken Dishes Quilt
The most wonderfully textural piece, this Broken Dishes variation quilt is a delight and a visual feast. The significant fading of what was once likely a turkey red has transformed the colored triangles into a beautiful light pink. Scattered between the pink blocks are other ‘ghost’ blocks where once possibly green fabric has faded to almost a cream, making the blocks almost invisible and lending a lovely asymmetrical feel to the pink blocks. Thoroughly washed by hand and hung to dry, she’s in excellent condition except for a couple places on the edges with a little bit of light residual yellowing and a few tiny pinprick marks (see photos). A wonderful and cozy piece to bring home!
