Postage Stamp Crib Quilt
An incredibly pleasing assortment of 19th century fabrics are pieced in tiny 1-inch squares in this precious old crib quilt. Particularly notable are the turkey red accents that are scattered here and there which draw the eye. This piece was loved and the trim has all but worn away, though evidence of the trim still remains upon close inspection (see photo). She is backed by a lovely soft double pink fabric and would make a wonderful accent on a table or wall. Gently washed by hand and laid flat to dry, this little quilt was certainly loved but is still in good condition for her age, with a handful of squares that shows some wear and some light residual staining, but nothing that stands out against her color scheme. True 1-inch Postage Stamps are not easy to come by and this is a lovely one to add to your collection!
