Red and Green Irish Chain Quilt with Sawtooth Border
A gorgeous soft and cozy piece, both texturally as well as in color, this Irish Chain quilt is a lovely welcome to fall and beautifully echoes the colors of the changing foliage. Her red is more of a rusty red-brown and pairs beautifully with the lightly faded overdyed green against a sweet calico red and white background. Her large sawtooth triangle border creates a stunning frame around her rows of of crisscrossing squares. (Notice that the way the triangles meet at each of the four corners is different!) She is in very good condition other than a little bit of color change and a couple small worn spots on her overdyed green border (see last photo). She’s been washed by hand and is ready to snuggle under — a wonderful quilt to bring home this season!
