Red Bird 25-Patch Crib Quilt
From first glance, there is something incredibly pleasing and charming about this 25-patch crib quilt. Upon closer study, you notice the gorgeous selection of fabrics used and that the placement of color is unpredictable, fun, and gives this piece a lot of depth. Her colorway is like a Robin in the wild — soft browns and vibrant reds with some blue and green accents. This little quilt is in good condition, but does have evidence of her age. A little bit of staining on edges, one block with a number of worn brown squares and a few others scattered about. But in this piece, the wear seems to add to the beauty! She was once enjoyed on someone’s wall and has a pole sleeve lightly stitched to one of her short edges. Her back shows the lovely fading of time on a light blue plaid fabric. She has been steam cleaned and is ready for her new owner. A lovely treasure to gift to yourself or a loved one.
