Soft Pink Birds in the Air Quilt
A truly stunning quilt made by an expert quilter in a simple and romantic soft pink and white colorway. The pink has a slightly cooler tone, a lovely pink with a light touch of lavender. The quilting is densely and expertly executed with double lines across all of the pink areas. Almost a thousand little pink triangles span the width of this quilt (960 to be exact) and the sawtooth border echoes them beautifully. This soft and cozy beauty has been washed by hand and is in excellent condition with just a couple tiny hardly perceptible pinprick marks, sometimes thought of as marks of the maker. A treasure to bring home and pass on to future generations.
Measurements: 80” x 80”
Included with this quilt is a hardcover copy of Sophie Blackall’s picture book Farmhouse.
$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount.

15% of profits from this sale will go towards scholarships at Milkwood Farm, a creative retreat for the children’s book community, run by author and illustrator Sophie Blackall, author of “Farmhouse” and many other wonderful, acclaimed children’s books.
Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness. We try our best to note any imperfections, but it’s possible we might miss one here and there. Well-crafted, handmade antique quilts in their original form are becoming scarcer, and we believe it's vital that we preserve them and continue to love them, imperfections and all.
Because these quilts are one-of-a-kind and we are a tiny enterprise, we do not accept returns; please review all photos and the description carefully and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing.
