Trees in the Park Quilt

$0.00
sold

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;

Lengthen night and shorten day;

Every leaf speaks bliss to me

Fluttering from the autumn tree.

I shall smile when wreaths of snow

Blossom where the rose should grow;

I shall sing when night’s decay

Ushers in a drearier day.

-Emily Brontë / Fall Leaves Fall

A beautiful and unusual quilt pattern, similar to a log cabin or a pineapple block, this stunning Trees in the Park Variation is one that will truly bring the outside into your home. With her chambray blues of sky and stream, and her red, green, and yellow of the fall foliage, she is a beauty in color as well as craftsmanship. She has been thoroughly washed and is in excellent structural condition, the only issue to note being some yellowing/discoloration on some of her cream fabric. One corner of her quilt has faded significantly more than the rest of the quilt, which gives her a beautiful, aged look. Her back is clean, just one pinprick mark to note. She is soft and has a nice weight due to all of the fabric used in constructing this type of block. A quilt to enjoy daily this fall and year round!

Measurements: 77” x 77.5”

$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount.

All quilts come with a muslin tag noting any known history, and an archival Micron pen for you to add yours.

15% of profits from this sale will go towards Tubman’s Hopetober campaign during domestic violence awareness month. Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness. We try our best to note any imperfections, but it’s possible we might miss one here and there. Well-crafted, handmade antique quilts in their original form are becoming scarcer, and we believe it's vital that we preserve them and continue to love them, imperfections and all.

Because these quilts are one-of-a-kind and we are a tiny enterprise, we do not accept returns; please review all photos and the description carefully and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing.
