Pattern: Pinwheel in Nine Patch
Date: c. 1900-1910
Provenance/Notes:
Tiny colorful two-inch pinwheel blocks twirl against the expanse of this beautiful quilt against a warm brown background dotted with tiny white micro graphics
Notice the beautiful sawtooth border and the meticulous diagonal grid quilting throughout
A wide variety of late 19th century fabrics were used in the pinwheels, which are pieced within a nine-patch design
Maker/origin unknown
Washed by hand and in excellent condition with just one place with a touch of color loss/fade on the brown background and a couple very light residual stains on back
Measurements: 70” x 86”
